Northern Cape Chess Federation is a member of the National Council of Chess South Africa. It is the provincial controlling body of chess in Northern Cape, governed by the Northern Cape Chess Provincial Council according to its Constitution.
It is a body consisting of more than one District Chess Body within the Province associated with each other for the development and administration of chess in that Province.
